Today's picture is of a hat I have in my collection of Buffalo Bills memorabilia. This hat was never given out because as you know the Bills never did win the game ( or any of the other 3 Super Bowls they played in) and all of these hat should have been destroyed. I was lucky enough to find it on E-bay years ago and could not resist adding it to my collection.

Today Kenneth, Garrett and I went on a little day long excursion up North. We went to Farmington Bay and Antelope Island. This is a Coyote that we saw right off the side of the road on our way out of the park. It was only 35 Yards away from us when I took this picture. This picture is not cropped at all this is the size of the actual picture I took. We had a great time and saw a lot of wildlife. The only bad thing about the trip was that we did not see the sun the whole time we were out so most of my pictures were not very good. This one is probable the best one I took all day.

Today's picture is of the stars as seen from Lindon Boat Harbor tonight. This is a 443.6 second exposure (7.39 min.) that is how I capture the movement in them. This is one of the first times I have tried this. I still need to work on the focus a bit and go somewhere a bit darker so I don't pick up the city lights reflecting into the sky. These types of pictures will be more fun in the summer when it is a bit warmer also.

This is what happens when you don't slow down on slick roads. I picked this up today on a very steep hill but was unable to flip it back over on the hill so I pulled it on to the truck on it's lid and took it to the yard and flipped it over there. The driver crawled out of the car at the scene and walked away with only bumps and bruises. Seat belts do save lives.

Today's picture is of my Ghost. This is a 30 second exposure that I walked out in front of and then stood there for 15 seconds and then moved out of the view again creating a see thru me. The streak of light to my left is my headlamp shining while I was moving in to the picture view. I will have to work on this technique a bit but I thought it was cool for today's picture.

Today's picture is of 2 Bald Eagles in a tree by the Lehi Mill ponds. The top one is a Juvenile Bald Eagle, while the lower one is more recognizable as an adult Bald Eagle. They have been hanging out here for a few days now but today they were in the same tree close enough to get them both in the same frame.

Today's picture is one that I made from a couple of pictures that I took. I could not decide on just one to use so I combined 4 into one. They are Western Meadowlark's. There were a bunch of them in the road as I passed at lunch today and as I drove up to them they flew every direction. These are a few that landed close to where I stopped to photograph them.

Tonight's picture is of the IHC Life Flight Helicopter at the American Fork Hospital. I was on my way home tonight and saw it coming in to land so I hurried up the road to catch a picture of it landing but was to late it was already down when I got there. This is a1.5 second exposure hand held so it is a bit blurry. I did not want to get out in the cold (19°) and set up my tripod for one shot.

Today's Picture is of the Moon. This is called a Waxing Crescent Moon (3% of full). When the moon waxes, it is growing, or increasing in the size of its lighted portion, or it is becoming gradually fuller. The waxing moon is the "right-hand moon", because the curve of the right hand index finger and thumb follows the curve of the crescent. Go ahead try it no one is watching. Now this Blog can be called

Today's picture is of an American Kestrel Falcon. This was taken while at lunch today, it was sitting on the wire and stayed there until a split second before I was ready to take its picture, than it took off. I was not quite ready to take the picture when it flew but I took it any way hoping to catch it and this is the result, a bit blurry but still worth posting.

Today was a very gray day outside, the visibility was very low with all of the smog in the air. This is a shot I took from my work in Lehi of the sun just before sunset. The clouds lit up orange and the sun was quite visible with the naked eye because of all the smog and the light cloud cover. you could see the perfectly round shape of the Sun rather than the blinding radiant edges that you would normally see while attempting to look at the Sun. This picture hardly does it justice. I sure love the daily surprises Mother Nature gives us.

First photo of 2011 is a picture of Mount Timpanogos from Utah Lake State Park in Provo at sunset. This is also my first successful HDR image that is why it is late being posted The pic was taken on 1-1-11. I will do my best to update daily but will always post my best or most interesting photo of the day for the day. Please feel free to leave comments about the pictures.
